South African Sojourn

“South Africa” is a dream destination in so many ways because of its incredible geographical diversity, its superb infrastructure, its legendary sunny weather and its super-friendly people. Roughly the size of Spain and France combined, South Africa is situated at the very southern tip of African continent. The Atlantic and the Indian Oceans wash its shores and meet at Cape Agulhas – one of the only places in the world where a person can watch two oceans meet. South Africa is blessed with spectacular scenery and natural landscapes - soaring mountain peaks and passes, dense and ancient forests, miles of unspoiled coastline, rivers to sooth or thrill you, and rolling flower fields and grasslands of every hue.

In our South African Sojourn, we will be visiting the most scenic and spectacularly beautiful sights in this “Rainbow Nation”. South Africa's Rainbow Nation title refers to the incredible diversity of its people, from the original San inhabitants of the land to the people who migrated and settled here over the years. There is hardly a nation on Earth that is not in some way represented in this diverse country. We will land in Johannesburg to start our memorable trip to this fabulous country. We will visit the world-famous Gold Reef City; to have a look at how the gold biscuits take shape. The next day we will drive towards the world-famous Kruger National Park, located in East of country. The Park has a rich array of southern African wildlife including the “Big Five”, the five most dangerous game animals in Africa. We could see most of the animal species of southern Africa which include Lions, Elephants, Black & White Rhinoceros, African Buffaloes, Leopards, Zebras, Hyenas, Giraffes, Hippos and Crocodiles.

After spending three nights in the park, we will fly down to the city on Southern tip of the country, Cape Town. It is the second most populated city in South Africa after Johannesburg. The city has several well-known natural features that attract tourists, most notable being Table Mountain. We will be taking the cable car (Weather permitting) to reach top of the mountain.

We will also be visiting the Cape Point. Then we will take the very famous “Garden Route” or “Route 62”. This route connects Cape Town with Port Elizabeth via Oudtshoorn. This route is also famous as “Wine Route”, for obvious reasons!! At Oudtshoorn, we will be visiting various sightseeing spots like The Cango Caves, the Ostrich Farm and ending the day by a boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. From Knysna we will be visiting various sightseeing spots like Plettenberg Bay, Storms River Village, Garden of Eden and Monkey Land.
