African Safari in Masai Mara & Amboseli, Kenya

Kenya is a land richly endowed by nature. It has very contrasting landscapes of snow-capped mountains and palm fringed beaches, lush farmlands and harsh deserts, misty highlands and sun - kissed savannahs. The snowy peaks of Mt. Kenya stand aloof in their grandeur above the vast, dry grasslands of African savannah. In Kenya, we get to see two of nature’s most spectacular and majestic phenomena, the migration of the herbivorous animals to Serengeti and the sight of migratory pink flamingos.

Nearly a million migratory pink winged greater and lesser flamingos lend Lake Nakuru an unforgettable sight. In May or early June, over three million wildebeests, zebras and antelopes travel southwards towards Serengeti plains in search of water and fresh green grass. From July to October, the same countless herds again gather along the swollen Mara River on the border of Tanzania and Kenya for their annual northward journey. The river stands as the last barrier between them and the sweet green grass of Masai Mara. Their dramatic river crossings make one of the most awe inspiring sights in the world. Masai Mara National Reserve is a pristine wilderness of haunting beauty, it promises its visitors a variety of wildlife, prolific bird life and the unprecedented opportunity of catching up with all the members of the 'Big Five' games of Africa – Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Rhinoceros and wild Buffaloes
